About us
We are a small home based husband and wife studio. Martin is a trained and degreed cabinet maker who also enjoys creating lathe turned items. He turns items for the office and household as well as items for ladies jewelry.
Christine creates jewelry with pearls, crystals and gems as well as lampwork beads from small artisans from the US, England, Germany and New Zealand. Christine also enjoys creating cards and invitations with rubber stamps and various embellishments.
Christine’s jewelry can easily compliment any special occasion outfit or can be that statement piece to really pop an outfit. Her cards run from “sassy to classy” as Martin says, regardless of which one(s) you choose it will be the perfect “Hi” or “Remember when we did….” or “hoping this brightens you day” to whomever it is sent to. And, who does not love getting seeing a handwritten envelope in the midst of all that junk mail and bills?
Martin’s pens and shaving kits make great gifts for Dad’s, grads, groomsmen, or a gift for an accomplishment. His bowls add interest to functionality as part of a centerpiece on the table, a holder of special items on your desk or dresser. Regardless of where you put them or use them they will not be easily damaged.
Both Christine and Martin have their thinking caps on for new ideas, materials or other ways to expand, enhance and compliment their work. They also welcome suggestions from customers and window shoppers alike. They are open to special and custom orders.
How We Got Started
Originally the studio was under the name of PreciousPeace Woodworking as it was just Martin’s wooden items.
When Christine started doing cards and invitations for their own parties Martin encouraged her to do them for sale. As Christine started venturing into jewelry making the name was changed from Woodworking to Studio to include Christine’s contributions as well.
Soon after that they began looking into craft fairs and shows around the state and enjoy meeting their fellow vendors at the shows as well as meeting the shoppers.
